Who we are
The History
In 2001, Saint Louis native and multimedia artist, Sara R. Smith, opened her first creative business, Terrapin Images. She began as a photographer, but knew she had more to offer her beloved hometown. She opened a second business in 2002, which later underwent many name and material changes to ultimately become what is now known as Bijoux. In addition to Bijoux, Sara owns a freelance graphic design business, Blacktop Media, and co-owns a sewing collaborative, And Sew It Seams.
The Artist
Sara R. Smith is an alum of Lindenwood University. She is a jeweler, graphic designer, photographer, potter, metalsmith, seamstress, carpenter, farmer, builder, baker, candlemaker, mother, wife, and so much more.
The Business
